Accessibility statement

Art. 1 Our commitment

Klangnest Tonstudio GmbH wants everyone to be able to use this website and our studio, regardless of visual, hearing, mobility or cognitive impairments. We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at conformance level AA and the European standard EN 301 549. In doing so we observe the requirements of the Austrian Accessibility Act (BaFG), which implements the European Accessibility Act in Austria, as far as they apply to our offering.

We treat accessibility as an ongoing task: new content is checked before publication, and existing pages are reworked when barriers are reported to us.

Art. 2 Measures in place

Among other things, the following measures are implemented on this website:

• Skip link: the first keyboard focus on every page leads straight to the content and skips the navigation.
• Keyboard operation: all menus, links, forms and the data-storage notice can be operated without a mouse; the focus is visible at all times.
• Contrast: text and background colours meet the level AA contrast requirements, in the dark colour scheme too.
• Text alternatives: images carry descriptive alternative text; purely decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
• Reduced motion: if you have enabled “reduce motion” in your system, the website does without animations.
• No auto-play: there is no audio or video content that starts automatically.
• Structure: headings, lists and tables are marked up semantically; form fields have visible labels and understandable error messages.
• Scaling: text can be enlarged to 200 % without content being cut off.

Art. 3 Known limitations

Despite our efforts, we are aware of the following limitations, which we are working on:

• Technical terms from audio engineering are not explained at every point; we are adding explanations step by step in the guides.
• Tables with prices and formats have to be scrolled sideways on very narrow screens.
• No content is available in easy-read language or in Austrian Sign Language.
• The English pages are adaptations; a few technical terms remain in German.

If you come across a barrier that is not listed here, please tell us. On request we will provide the information concerned in an accessible form, for example as plain text by e-mail or over the telephone.

Art. 4 Access to the studio

We want to be honest about the physical conditions so that you can plan your visit:

• The studio is on the ground floor of the building at Burggasse 95, 1070 Vienna.
• There are two steps at the entrance. We provide a portable ramp on request; please let us know when booking that you need it.
• There is no accessible toilet.
• We are happy to give you exact measurements of doors and passageways inside on request, so that you can judge whether the rooms suit you.
• A loading bay in front of the building can be used by arrangement; the nearest stops and routes are on the contact page.

Before the session we are glad to discuss how we can adapt the recording to your needs, for example by recording in the live room instead of the booth or by scheduling extra breaks.
